Light Fixtures Make Fab Succulent Planters!

I cannot pass up a good deal on a used light fixture. Either it's got to become a planter or outdoor lighting with solar lamps. I love the planters and all it takes is an old fixture and some spray paint. Bright colors are great for their impact in our mostly green and white yard, but I'm willing to go with original colors, especially if there are patterns. What I won't consider is using brass (unless it's trim and I have no choice). Visit my blog for more ideas: http://whomadethismissbobetier.blogspot.com/2013/07/light-fixture-planters-i-love-em.html
My first and still favorite...even though it kind of looks like a space station...
This is the latest, but not the last. Luckily, we live on two acres...
$2 for the fixture, $.75 for the shades. The original fixture had only two shades, and I just happened to have three in my barn.
I'm not sure if the planter should be another color or if I need darker succulents. I'll decide when they grow.
The teapot is temporary, but the planter looks too much like an octopus without it.
