An Old Galvanized Vase Gets A DIY Rustic Look

've had this vase for so many years now that I thought it was time to give it an even more rustic look.

Chalkboard paint gives just about anything a little spruce these days.

So I'm giving this galvanized metal flower vase a RUSTIC makeover with a little chalkboard paint and it was beyond the easiest DIY ever!!!

I started by taping off around the painted picture already on the vase with painters tape.

Then I simply grabbed my chalkboard paint and with a small paint brush or if you have a foam brush, just go to town. After a couple of coats with drying time in between this is how it looked while still drying. You want to remove the painters tape while the paint is still wet so that it doesn't peel off any paint after its dried.
