Just leave the tree alone but water, water, & water. Next year you will see what was damaged and then trim off the dead parts. Trees like that should be transplanted before the buds open. I have many trees in my yard that I started this way. It works but you have to keep this tree moist at all times for it to take root. Mulch in the fall to protect it in the winter. Good Luck.

Give it a beer. I don't know why but a friends mother taught me that when the tree goes into shock which is what has happened to your tree, there is something in the beer that helps. Put a 12ounce can in two quarts of water and water it. I had an orange tree that I took outside in the summer to give it some sunshine and rain. when I brought it back inside it went into shock because of the air conditioning. She mixed that up and gave it the full watering and I never even lost a leaf! Good Luck!
