Chalkboard on mirror or glass? Heck yes!

One of my most pinned tutorials? How to transform a mirror or old painting into a chalkboard!

You can follow the easy tutorial here:

It's so cool what you did but I don't think I could bear to paint that beautiful antique mirror

@Rebecca - LOVE that!!! Great idea!!!

@Molly F - in all liklihood this mirror was probably an antique reproduction - not the real deal as in an 1800's era piece so there was no desecration committed in the making of this chalk board!! LOL

It was actually plastic! It looks like real wood doesn't it? Why can't the camera make our bodies look so much better than real life like it did this mirror? ; )

So cute. I just saw a whole bunch of chalkboard paint ideas posted here (like a chalkboard headboard!), but this is a first. Love it!

Was this paint applied directly to the mirror without any prep? Do you think it would work with homemade chalkboard paint? I have the ugliest mirrored closet doors in my lovely little old house.

Lori, It was applied directly but if I was using a home-made version, I would lightly swipe a layer of the paint you are using for your frame over the mirror first. Just giving it something more to adhere to. : ) Reb
