How To Make A Homemade Furniture Dusting Spray

5 Minutes
Easy
One of my favorite homemade cleaners (and one of the most popular recipes on my blog) is this homemade furniture dusting spray that I now use all the time instead of products like Pledge or Endust. It's a mixture of water, vinegar, and olive oil, with a little bit of lemon essential oil added for fragrance.
This spray has worked great for me with no damage or problems to my furniture. I use it primarily on my wood bedroom furniture and it works better than Pledge ever did at getting the dust out of the nooks and crannies of the scrollwork on the dressers. I also use it on the end tables and cabinets in my living room.
You may be wondering about the mixture of water with olive oil, and it's true that the mixture does separate, but I just shake it up regularly while I'm dusting which is no trouble to do at all. The olive oil is a helpful moisturizing addition to the mixture. This spray can also be made for just pennies which I like a whole bunch too!

Easy to make with common ingredients mixed in a spray bottle. The essential oil is optional for fragrance.
Sometimes I put the recipes for my homemade cleaners right on my labels to make life easier!

I have been using this mixture to clean my hardwood floors. A spray on a reusable dustcover collects all the dust and dog hair and does not harm the finish on the floor.
