Rustic Stenciled Sign

I have always wanted a Barn Quilt. We decided to make our own version in a Rustic Stenciled Sign to decorate our barn/garage.
I made this rustic sign from some old cedar fencing boards a friend gave me. The sign is about 3 feet long and 14" wide. The three boards were cut to 36", and assembled by putting two boards together for the front and one in the back to hold it all together. We used small nails and wood clue to secure them in place.
Back of sign. An old piece of chain was used to hang it on the barn wall.
The fence boards already had a weathered look, but I used a white wash stain to protect them from the elements.
The stencil came next. This is the Augusta Tile Stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils. I used red, blue, yellow and green acrylic paints in the stencil. I mixed my own green color by combining yellow with a bit of the blue paint. The colors were dabbed on to the rough wood lightly with a stencil brush. After they were dry, I coated the sign with polyurethane.
