Teeny Tiny Master Bath Renovation

I had some water damage do to cracked tiles in the shower, so I got to designing, as the space is TINY and moving walls was not an option, as it is nestled between the kitchen, another bathroom, and the main vent stacks for sewer, gas, and HVAC. By going with white subway tile, beadboard wainscoting, and floor, the room feels a bit bigger than it actually is. To keep it from being too stark, I painted above the wainscoting a beautiful grey-blue. To add a vintage flair, and to keep from being matchy-matchy (I can't stand match-matchy. . .) I used all silver metal accents, but uses a mix of chrome, brushed nickle, and even some silver plate accessories. My color inspiration for the room came from a thrifted black and white photo of the Eiffel Tower. Find out more @ www.shabbyfrenchcottage.com or www.facebook.com/shabbyfrenchcottage !

See what I mean by TINY??? Doesn't mean you have to skimp on style!

The Eiffel Tower photo was my inspiration for the color scheme of the room. The medicine cabinet was $7.00 at a yard sale.

LOVE THIS! A small space can not only be useful, it can be beautiful! We redid a small half bath that was so small it was only a convenience. Came up with some great ideas that worked. Will try to send photos later.

Really nice. I like the very subtle color scheme -- only two shades really. Small space need that kind of treatment. Very sophisticated choice.

Love it, but where do you keep bathroom items such as cosmetics, cleansers, soap, etc?

@User--there is tons of storage in the mirrored cupboard behind the toilet. I can fit tons of everything in there. There are also tile shelves in the shower for shampoo. I removed those items before taking the photos. I have a wire basket tucked by the toilet for extra TP.

Milkey F, ours is actually a half bath in a 42 year old house. We found the walls in terrible shape after 4 different wall papers. I refused to live through replacing sheetrock so we came up with beadboard on the bottom and texture paint on top. Added some accents with molding and it was a really pretty redo. Keep in mind I love the old look so here are pictures. (So small it is hard to photograph...and yes, I kept my brass fixures. They are expensive, lifetime guaranted fixures that are going to stay right where they are!)

    • This is more in the peach family than pink, but you know how the flash changes color when bounces around in a small room.
    • This mirror is large to make a statement in a small space. I love it! HA!
    • I love this little accent in the 2 back corners.

Oh Boy- Im late for this party! Because I have been doing all this at my little house-and Im new to this site- I am so awed with your creativeness on a budget- I am of the impression that anyone can make something look great with lotsa $$$$$$ but when you can refine beauty from others castoffs- that is ART! That you for a lot of great ideas and your spaces are all so inviting- you shoulkd feel good about what you have accomplished- CARRY on!!!!! And impress us more!
