My $400 Bathroom makeover

I wanted to surprise my husband with an updated bath, so while he was away for the week I was busy. What do you think?

I can't believe how much better it looks! Would not have believed it possible. You did a very good job in choosing what to change and how to make it useful as well as attractive. Kudos to you for a job well done!

This is a great inspiration to me. I would like to redo our hall/guest bath. New paint, light fixture, hardware and toilet. Beyond my abilities. I hate our medicine cabinet in there too,,, throw in a new mirror

Caren T: I had to sand down what appeared to be a paper/plastic type laminate and painted and painted and painted. It took four coats like the walls but I feel it was worth it.

Did you primer the cabinets first? I have the same cheesy cabinets in my mobile home

Rochelle, after finding I bought exterior primer, I decided to try the other remedy I rad about which is to sand those cabinets down. I May not have primed them but I devoted a good half a day to sanding them to get the paint to really grab on to. Good luck.

Good idea on the faucets, they probably make the room feel more complete. They're fun to shop for anyway!!
