White doesn’t have to be boring! In fact, this “vanilla” color is incredibly versatile. Depending on your goals, you can use white to open up a room, or do the exact opposite and draw attention to a specific place. Here are four new ways to use white:

Satisfy Fickle Decorators. If you never seem to stay smitten with a décor change for long (or you have a trend-loving teenager at home), a white room is the perfect solution.
Attract Attention. Do you have a stunning accessory that isn’t getting enough love? Use white to change that! For example, if your dining room chairs are the bomb.com, make everything surrounding them (walls, furniture, accessories).
Create an Open Flow. Attracting attention is great if you have an awesome piece of furniture or art. But if one of your rooms has a less-than-ideal focal point (like a dark fireplace) attention can do more harm than good.
Brighten a Small Room. Who said small rooms have to feel cramped and dark? Slap on a little white paint and your tiniest room will instantly feel brighter – it’s like an awesome pair of high heels for your room.
