80's Nightmare Turned Warm Contemporary on a Budget

A lot of you have seen our gut and remodel progress, but wanted to include the downstairs in the section. All but the powder room is now complete (yay, got my entry/hall tile completed) and we're thrilled with the results of countless hours and weekends of bargain shopping, auctions, estate sales, garage sales, Habitat for Humanity stores, thrift stores and flea markets. We have been able to gut, rebuilt, reconfigure, resurface and change every inch of our downstairs area for a total budget of about $25,000, including a full kitchen remodel. You will be hard pressed to find anything in our home that has been purchased retail.
