You made it? Painted it??? When you add the light you talked about this will be really sweet! I think I'd use a finish that is flat, shiny will detract from it's beauty - just my opinion. Will this stay inside??
I didn't make it..just painted it. I might use a flat finish..good idea! I am wondering if I shouldn't change the black to another color..any thoughts? It will look nice once I get a light inside it...going to stay inside. I painted it those colors to match the colors in our living room! :)
NOOOOO - don't change the black. That's the accent that really makes the lighthuse POP!! And I like the door in white too!!. Just put in the light and whatever "FLAT" (lol) finish you decide on!!! It's beautiful!!
well, I think that I will delete my profile on this site. I got a violation email that states my lighthouse is not organized or specific enough. Thought this was a fun site, but I guess its just not for me!
Elise, I just saw your post. I'm sure this is a misunderstanding. Perhaps you got an email suggesting that you add some more details about your project? That is probably one of your fellow Hometalkers helping out, knowing that others will be interested. Nothing to worry about at all.

lol, yes Susan...I didn't think it was you and it was no big deal. Just an email stating I needed to add more detail to it. I was having a rough day yesturday so the email got to me LOL..we have all had those days, right? I am still here! :)
ME TOO!! It's just that we always want to know the details when someone posts pictures! I thought the lighthouse was so pretty and I knew everyone would want to know EVERYTHING!! We're just like that ; ~)
As to the rough day - I'm sorry and I know how it can be sometimes. Something that might not have any effect one day turns out to be "just NOT the right thing to say" on another!!
