Repurposed Legs Cut Down To Size

I had been pondering about what I would do with these legs from a farmhouse table . Chunky and full of design, so I came up with the idea of this......measuring and sawing to the perfect proportion...
After cutting the legs were put into place between the counter and cabinet, then painted with a bit of distressing.
2 I put on each side of the open dish cabinet... I do really know what to call them maybe counter pillars??
2 I placed between the cabinets and counters that are on each side of the stove


When it was completed it was a nice match with the kitchen cabinets, On a previous post I introduced a technique that I applied to the cabinet doors using vinyl spackling and a stencil which gave a flat wooden cabinet some pretty design interest
Can't wait til Christmas to wrap them with fresh pine. What you see here is a metal lizard climbing about...We just painted and did a cottage fishing vintage style. Seems fitting for where we live just a few miles from the Everglades
