I had a small pile of mismatched ornaments that I was ready to toss when I came upon some pictures showing how they can be used to make great centerpieces or accent pieces if placed inside various glass containers. The possibilities are endless since you can add lights, twigs, greenery, candles or even cinnamon sticks and toys to create a look that complements your holiday theme.
They are super easy to make and can be done with what you already have on hand so there is no cost to make them.
I think this is such a great idea, I had to share! To find more ideas check out: http://hometipster.com/christmas-vase/
Use alone or flank with candles or holiday flowers for the perfect table decoration
For a country feel, try placing pine cones, twigs or greenery.
Add a strand of lights and you have a dramatic accent piece that can also serve as a nightlight. Mix in bulbs that no longer work to add interest
A decanter or vase tied with a ribbon helps pull the theme of a room together
Grouping vases in various heights makes a greater impact
A fish bowl or other large bowl becomes a clever way display ornaments and looks great when you add shells or sand at the bottom
