Supplies & The Recipe - The first step is to mix your glazing solution. I use equal parts of glazing medium and black paint. Then, I add just a few drops of water.

Christine Goldman George on Sep 30, 2015I got my turquoise as regular latex paint at my local Home Improvement store. They'll custom mix as little as a quart so your options are limitless. I bought a shade darker since I would be adding white plaster of paris and water. Glaze can also be found in these stores. You can use those little bottles of craft paint from Michael's or Walmart for tinting your glaze.

I'm in the UK and can't find a 'glazing medium'. Does it have another name? And what type of black paint did you use?
What color blue is this?
