I have a very old birdbath...I would like to spray paint it to make it look new...also has to be a paint that is safe for the birds. As you can see in the pictures it has had some damage to it. Mostly a large crack down the base which I filled with mortar. Also there were a few places on the top where I filled an area on the inside where the wire under the finish had poked through and chipped some of the finish away. I cut that piece of wire off and then filled the area with mortar...I did get a little too much mortar on it. I do hope someone can help me with this project...I just cannot seem to get rid of this...I still love it! It use to have a ceramic dove that sat in the center...that has long since broken to! Thank you!

I had a similar birdbath that had been repaired. I painted it with Drylock paint in a cement color. It is waterproof paint and will help keep the repair in good shape.
