Did you know that you can make a bug spray from fresh herbs right our of your garden? It is all natural and easy to make! Plus, it smells amazing when you are making it AND when you are using it! For complete instructions go to: http://livedan330.com/2013/07/11/2013619diy-bugspray-from-fresh-herbs/ and don't forget to follow me on Hometalk!
Mint - Just about any kind. It is nice to have a mix too. Catnip Lavender Thyme Sage Dried Cloves Chives
Boil the herbs in one cup of water.
The bug spray worked great when I tried it. As a bonus, the spray was very cool and refreshing on my skin. It would feel great after a little too much time in the sun! If you keep it in a spray bottle, you can simply spray it whenever you need it!

Here's so you don't have to jump through links to get what ya need. Please note. These inst. are from the blog, and NOT ME! In one cup of water, boil the following:Mint – Just about any kind. It is nice to have a mix too.CatnipLavenderThymeSageDried ClovesChives You want to have about one third cup of fresh herbs evenly divided. Boil the herbs in one cup of water. After it comes to a boil, cover it and let it cool. This will help bring out the oils that will repel the bugs. Plus, it smells incredible! I read about 10 different recipes before nailing this and the scent in my house is just great. Cool then strain the herbs out mix what's left with 1 c of alcohol. (Dry the herbs out and use them for pot pouri - (My thought ;) )
