My Secret Garden

This spring we took a neglected corner of our yard and turned it into my secret garden. It's hidden between an older perennial bed and a new fence and you can't see it until you wander round the end of that old bed - hence the name.
Last year, this area was just the back of a perennial border hidden behind an old fence.
This spring we dug up a triangular area and filled it with shrubs, roses and perennials.
Tis combination of asiatic lilies and heliopsis works well together.
Queen Elizabeth floribunda roses add some pretty pink.
This Golden Tiger sumac is finally filling in and gives the garden a central focus.
The daylilies are happy in their new home.
