not so sure for you down there...but here in central Colorado at near 9000 feet mid may is our norm....this year we had a warmer than normal spring and plants flowers, creek flows are running about 3 weeks ahead of "normal" http://youtu.be/zVdvQaQtuCQ

Noticed a Hummer in the yard. (Michigan) Make sure you have red flowers, objects... will attract the hummers too. Bee Balm (monarda) plant, is a winner for the yard Tina...Have fun
