Flowered Bird Feeder

Rebar was set 4ft in the ground, concrete base was then placed, then garden seat. Using different pieces of glass between the pots added color. I chose using plain terra cotta pots for this particular piece because of the glass inserts. Topped it off with a copper dish for feeding the birds. Completed project is 6 ft. tall

Did one of these for my niece and her family for this past Christmas. Used 5 posts, an extra large one on bottom for daddy, size smaller for mommy and 2 older kids, and a smaller one on top for baby. Painted the band around the top each of their favorite color and then put each of their names on "their" pot. Came out colorful and cute and they have planted strawberries and herbs in them. I'll have to try to get a picture of it and post.Just love this idea. Mine were all clay though.

I found the garden seat at a yard sale a couple of years ago and paid $5.00 for it. It didn't really fit anything I had, but when I decided to make this, I was looking around for something unique and there it was, even had the right sized hole in the top to thread it through. Hubby used a special drill bit to pierce the two glass pieces for me as well as the metal pot. We are working on a new one using an antique milk can we have. Planning on painting all of the pots white and putting black spots on them. Can't wait to get started!

Miriam, thank you so much. Actually, I am quite fortunate that I ended up in my Grandmother's home. As a child, I loved being here. I've always this house, feeling both my Grandmother's and my mothers presence. Many times I feel that they both help me in the gardens..

I know the feeling. My grandmother's house was my favorite place in the world going up. She just sold it and I will remember it forever.
