Painted fish, a board, and sea shells make unique wall art!
I started with some small, smooth river rocks and painted them to look like fish. I made them whimsical and bright. I had a collection of sea shells and coral collected on vacation so I knew I had to combine these to make unique wall art.
A plain, piece of wood purchased pre-cut, off the shelf at Lowes was sanded then painted with shades of blue, green, and a dash of purple to get that under-the-sea look. Let dry completely. Then I glued on sea shells and coral. I filled in the spaces with bits of sea glass purchased at Michaels.
After the fish were painted I used tiny sea shells to make their fins and tails. A little paint was washed over the shells to make a better color match to each fish.
Next place the fish on the board and rearrange them until they look like they're swimming, then glue them down. Let drive overnight and hang. I used eye-hooks screwed into the top to hang with some twine.
