Love. love it. I love white kitchens. Could never understand why people want dark cabinets. A white kitchen is no harder to keep clean than a dark one. Congrats on a job well done.
We have a dark kitchen too and with home prices the way they are, we are certainly not going to put tens of thousands of dollars in it. I would paint today but that is just too big a task at our age. So I will just enjoy the work others are posting! Keep it up!
Beautiful, but I need doors on everything in my kitchen. I too have kitty kats. Also pups, but they don't get that high like my little brat kitty kats. lol
I followed as you did this. So much fun to watch ! At least for me! ha And I am so glad you went with the open shelving! In spite of what all the nay sayers said. Are you finding them difficult to keep clean? I wouldnt think so. Naysayers should look in their cabinets and see how dirty they are, right? They just cant see it...

Hi Bernice! I still LOVE my open shelves, and they do not show dirt at all. I think I have wiped them off twice in the past 10 months. Seriously! They look great! Thanks for following along. :)
Oh, I love your design, just can't do it.... I have one boy kitty that climbs up to the top of my white cabinets every day (he thinks I took the dropped, nasty, accoustical tile, dropped ceiling down just for him) and I have paw marks on my upper doors every day. I am also taking all the w to w carpeting out and then under that is nasty old, broken 9 inch tiles with that black adhesive to deal with and they now have dirty paws till I get that finished. something go wrong with my left hand... hurts like crazy all the way up to my neck and I can't grip a thing with it yet.... pulling up carpet with one hand is a little bothersome... lol. I definitely love your kitchen remodel though.
how did you take care of the lighting over the sink since you took out the soffitt? i want to put up the shelves like you have but i have the soffit just like in your old kitchen. what did you have to do?
