Craft night on the patio making wood fire crackers for the 4th of july for our front porch
displayed in the landscaping
Painting
Taping off the stripes
Painting the stripes
we used vinyl for the stars
we used 4 coats of clear glossy paint for the sealer
drilled hole in top of each one and used wick
screwed square wood base to the bottom
displayed on the front porch
Suggested materials:
  • Non treated 4 by 4 post cut at 3 different lengths
  • Flat laytex paint and clear high gloss paint
  • Masking tape and vinyl stars

    Kim, I might strip the copper wire so I could bend the strands out to look like a lit sparkler. Would that work?

    Can't wait to make my own. Would a larger base be better? Do they tip over too easily?
