Lace window curtains

I purchased lace curtains and hung one panel pushed it over to look like a lace pane. I went out to look at them I could not see the designs on them. How to get the designs to show up? Or, how do we buy ones that will?

Try it with the fabric round the other way - with the pronounced stitching and lacing on the other side.

Hung mine on a small tension rod up AGAINST the window, can see design from the street.

I've usually seen lace panels and valances hung within the frame of the window and not gathered. That way you can see the pattern. Lace curtains are usually hung to diffuse light and provide some sheer privacy. Check out the website for Country Curtains. They are a great resource for lace window coverings.

You may want to try decorative window film instead. I like the Eden Semi-private design. It gives a lace like look, privacy and you can still see through the pattern. The film will knock down the heat and UV rays, and it can be cut to any size. If you don't like this pattern there are a lot to choice from at www.wallpaperforwindows.com See the attached photo
