Paintings I have done on large Styrofoam sheets. They weigh less than 8 oz and cause no wall damage to hang them.

These are all 4' X 4'

    Any special type of paint?

Mandy..nope, just standard acrylic paint from the craft section of Wal-mart. Except for the shiny black, that is high gloss enamel to make it stand out more.

These are beautiful! Thanks for the idea of using stytofoam sheets to paint on...I have been wanting to do my own wall hanging paintings also but could not decide what to use that would be light enough to hang on our walls.

Thank you Kathy. This is a very inexpensive way to change your artwork anytime you want. At my local lumber yard the Styro boards are 8' X 4' and they cost $7.26 tax included. Most places like our lumber yard will cut them to size for you for free. It is so much fun to work on, but remember because it is stryo foam, it has small pits and needs to be cut with a fast saw and the paint will show small pocks in places, so I first base coat the whole board with off white standard flat wall ...»
paint. Just go crazy with it, it is far cheaper than stretched canvas and easy to cover mistakes on. I change the paintings in my house about 6-8 times a year! If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a message! by the way..I put mine up with the hot glue gun and when they come down using a spatula, the glue just peels off the walls clean. It only takes a little glue in each corner to hold them!
