Record Storage Redo

I often get a strange look when I bring something like this home that I find, but there's potential in everything.
I found this little storage cabinet in a trash pile that was used for storing records. It's an MDF cabinet with wood grain contact paper covering it and the poly-resin doors slide back and forth.
I loved the detail on the doors so thought I'd load it up and see what I could do with it.
The piece was really low to the ground so I purchased these feet from Lowe's to give it some height.
Since I personally don't own any records I thought I would turn it into a low profile entertainment center.
I added a shelf to the left hand side for media components using a piece of scrap wood from the garage.
I decided to keep the other side open for other storage.
After giving the entire thing a thorough scrub down with TSP I primed the entire piece with my favorite Zinser primer. It goes on any surface without the need for sanding. Since the contact paper was in good shape I didn't want to try peeling it off for fear of creating an uneven surface.
I liked the way the white primer liked so I painted the doors white and contrasted the white with a charcoal gray. I simply bought a sample color of white and Liberty Bell from Lowe's and it was more than enough to cover the entire piece. The sample cost about $2.50 each and was much cheaper than buying an entire quart.
Painting with a small detail brush was extremely tedious, but was very worth it.
I decided to go ahead and use the same color on the inside of the piece.

Did you re-frame the cabinet? Did you have to reinforce the bottom to add the bundt feet?

Richard, I told you in my earlier comment how much I admire your talent and your good eye for detail! I have one question and PLEASE, DO NOT take it negatively as I don't mean it that way. I'm wondering if you had considered putting straight legs at an angle, such as those that you find on many mid-century modern pieces of furniture? It might have made your gorgeous cabinet just a little bit taller. Please keep up the good work of reclaiming these beauties! Also, please keep on sharing your superb tutorials as I have been learning from your imagination and talent!
