My first trip out that day was to find a sewing table so I could copy the awesome beverage cart I saw on Hometalk!! There were 5 to choose from!!!! This ome was $40, got manager down to $25 and with the Military discount it came to $21 with tax.

We removed all the hardware. I already had the spray paint (Silver) and (Blue).

I just loved the silver and couldnt resist adding it to the feet. Also the door fronts were plastic...so I had to wood putty some holes and paint.

Finding a plastc tote to fit in there was a lot more challenging. Looked everywhere. So before the 4th of July part, I stopped at the Dollar General and grabbed a styrofoam cooler.

Hubby did a quick bracket to hold the cooler.

I had some contact paper laying around, so did the drawers.

I like the fact that it was cheap enough and I can use as just a table out on patio. I sprayed with a poly sealer. I may still paint with a poly gloss to give it that extra weather resistence. Top drawer holds shot glasses, plasticware etc..

Moved it to the front porch now for fall. Love how it looks with my window.

Material I used for this project:

  • Valspar paint (Metallic Silver & Exotic Sea)   (Lowes)

Very cool idea! I think I might steal this but change it up a little. I think I might use it for potting small plants. But well done!
