Would like to build some kind of a screen to hide the propane tank

Need some ideas for building an outdoor screen to hide a propane tank on my deck.
This is also a view of the propane tank next to my fountain with a piece of ply wood just sitting there

This is the area I would like to build the screen the piece of plywood is just sitting there

You can get a piece of lattice or privacy sections of white plastic fences are available.

I would build a three side lattice pedestal a little taller than the tank to cover it. Place a board on top of the tower, place a plant on top of the board.

Use white picket fence boards (3” or 4” wide) cut a few inches over the tank top to hide it. Make the structure a “U” shape that can be removed when refilling or moving the tank. Install four straps screwed to the wall at each end (two, one top and bottom) to hold the tank and structure from moving should a gust of air present itself.

I would build something 3 sided or U shaped, whether it is lattice or wood, paint it and place a plant on top.

vinyl window shutters come in various heights...but two or three of them, hinge them together and set in front of the tank. you could put a lid on and use it for a fern stand which goes well with the fountain decor and they will never need painting unless you want to change the color.

We had the same problem except our propane tank is lying on the ground adjacent to our deck. I recommend that you get some half-circle planters and plant something like honeysuckle in them; you will need a small trellis for the plants to grow up, but it will hide the tank and you can simply shift the half-circle planters when you need to refill it.

Looks like you have a nautical theme going on there. Buy enough railing to go around the tank and use rope to tie them together. The wood will get weathered and go perfect with the fountain.

Build a lattice box. Cut 3 sections and trim around the corners with 1x2's. Medium length drywall screws will be perfect. You can then stain or paint it to match your theme... :)

I agree with Tanya ragnone. Lattice will allow ventilation in case of accidental leaks of gas, and hide it as well.

I'd also recommend setting the tank on top of about 4" of paving stone to keep it from staying wet against the ground and causing rust to the tank.

can the tank be moved to does is itbeing used all the time if it can be moved can it be moved ? if it can be move it someplace else out of sight and if not build a low lattice fence around it ,then plant a vine like a Jasmine to cover it
