Like Clip

planted a rose bush about 10 days ago. It immediately wilted, all the limbs just sagged over...been watering it well

and used garden soil. Is it shock?

    Sounds like it...I have also seen this where a plants stems were damaged during the process...not broken so to speak but bent enough that it compromises transport of water up through the plant

    Try not to keep the soil soggy. It should be moist but not saturated.

    Consider putting an umbrella over it to minimize water loss.

    I would consider cutting it back by at least a few inches to help with the transplant shock. It should recover quickly.
