Angie I love your work. I am curious as to how you reinforced the back of the cane chair? It was a rather large hole, did the fabric and batting add enough support? I see a lot of damaged chairs and would like to use them but I learned caning once and find it to difficult for my old fingers.

Hi Victoria - yes, the fabric and batting added enough support. When I stapled the fabric, i just made sure it was VERY tight. I went by Miss Mustard Seeds tutorial http://missmustardseed.com/2012/02/best-of-mms-french-chair-makeover-tutorial/ .... she suggests to staple burlap for additional support. I took a chance and didn't follow that part of her instruction and my chair is just fine :)
