Hi Barb, I am a fan of Greased Lightning concentrated form. It is a industrial cleaner available at any national home store. I would not advise getting on a ladder to scrub the gutters clean. If you want to do it your self, you will need a few things from lowes/home depot. 1. greased lightning, purple stuff, simple green-in concentrate. 2. Painter stick, its an adjustable pole. They come in different sizes and quality. Some extend 4-8 feet up to 10-20 feet. determine what you will need for your house. 3. Soft bristle brush to screw on pole. Hard bristles can scratch the finish. 4. Bucket, hose, hi pressure spray nozzle. Always test a hidden area with industrial cleaners to make sure it will not damage the finish. All that's left is to dip, scrub, and rinse. Do small areas at a time, rinse thoroughly from gutter to ground, don't let the cleaner dry on any surface of your home. You will spend $80-$100 dollars on supplies, power washing your home will also eliminate the issue.
