Custom Made cabinets my brother and I made for a friends new home.

Made from 3/4" oak plywood for sides and shelves with solid oak raised panel doors and drawer fronts. Drawers are 1/2" plywood sides and 1/4" bottoms. finish is Early American with 3 coats of Polyurethane satin floor finish. Counter top was from Lowes.

Thanks Pam We had fun building these. All the doors were made of rough sawed wood and we had to plane it down then make the doors and drawer fronts.

Great job Roger, the whole kitchen looks fantastic. If you don't mind sharing, where did you get the plans or directions to make the panel doors? I'm looking to find some resources to make my own shaker doors. Thanks.

sweet job there....I'm still working my way through my kitchen...I have completed my panty cabinet but have been sidelined for the next phase.

Instead of oak...I'm using African Stripped Mahogany.

Thanks Everyone for the kind words. Home R T We just bought a rail and stile bit set and a raised panel bit for our table router and just started playing around with it. all the curves are hand drawn and then cut out with the jig saw before runing them through the router. Then just match the panel curve to the rail and that was it. The rest is just fit and sanding. The entire job was just planed out by the owner and we sized the cabinets to fit the space. Each cabinet is a seperate unit. ...»
Then they are placed together and fastened with screws. The set of drawers beside the sink is removable for the addition of a dishwasher in the future if needed. Jan C We decided to do drawers in the base cabinets because the owner has a problem with getting down to see under a bottom shelf. The drawers just made sense so there is no wasted space that he can't get to.

@ SheilaG we do not have a business we just work for the fun of it and just try to recover the cost of the material + some for the time we put in. We only charge for the time we put in not how long it takes to finish the job. Mostly work for friends and neighbors.

Roger.... I'm running my raised panel bits with a 3 1/4 hp Porter cable 7518

I've got this mounted in my table saw extension wing. I use my smaller 690 for hand work
