Something Growing on Blades of Grass, in Patches.

Bonnie Lewenza on Jul 21, 2013It is hard to tell from the picture but I would make up a dish soap solution and spray it. At first I thought that you had some weird grasses growing as I did from my feeder. And what it was was the dropped seeds. But that looks like some type of aphid or something, I would definitely spray.Helpful Reply

Patti on Jul 21, 2013Thanks Bonnie, I actually learned it is slime mold! Harmless, evidently, but it sure is ugly! No treatment is necessary, it turns out, just a good forceful spray of water, and Poof! Gone!! Thanks everyone for your help!Helpful Reply

Rosalie M on Jul 22, 2013I can't begin to guess what that is growing on your lawn, but if it were up to me, I'd keep the kids out of it until you find out what it is.Helpful Reply
