Beautify A Boring Table With Old Fashioned Milk Paint

My son needs furniture for his apartment and I found this table at the Goodwill for $4. He wanted it to be flat black so that is what I did using the Pitch Black from The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co.
I was given this beautiful Pitch Black Color by The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co. to create this post. I don't usually use black in my furniture makeovers but I may have to start. I ended up loving it!

Another thing I love about this paint is how environmentally safe it is. You should check it out on their website http://www.milkpaint.com/

This is the before table.
Instead of the two knobs on the front of the drawer I wanted one, long, sleek silver drawer pull.

I could not find one in the exact size I needed so we plugged the existing holes with some tacks Jeff found at the hardware store. They are a pretty close match to the decorative round pieces that were already there.
I mixed the paint and added the Extra-Bond. This table has a formica top so I knew I would need that to help it stick. So far....so good!

I used my paint sprayer and it was done in no time. I love that thing.
Here is the sleek drawer pull I picked out. It makes opening that drawer a lot easier than before.

I am going to add a finish to this. I had to order it but it shouldn't change the look of it at all. What do you think? You can see more photos on my blog plus a lot more projects and up-cycles. Click over and check it out.

It's always funny to me how paint can modernize a piece and this is a good example. It's lovely. I'd never heard of Extra-Bond before. I wonder if they put that in make-up? ;)

Thanks to both of you. I am glad you like it. A more modern look is what my son wanted.
