Sempervivum (hens and Chicks, Ya Know) Are so Perfect With Sedum...

I think these plants are made for each other; the Sempervivum add so much impact, and the Sedum trail over the edge of the pots and soften the slightly spikey effect; they are both equally as tough as one another, and complement each other perfectly.
Who knew that these plants combined so well? Sempervivum and Sedum need the same kinds of growing conditions; so, grow them together in a big container or a green roof.

I have a sedum and sempervivum bed, and sedums as ground covers in problem areas.

We had so much rain in Ga this summer I thought I was going to lose my collection. I moved them under the eave of the house to protect them. They were getting water marks all over them and I was afraid they would get diseased. They came thru perfectly after they dried out some. Thanks for all your info
