Desk Renovation

I thought it would be fun to redo this desk with a Harlequin pattern. Well it turned out fun but doing the pattern was a small amount of torture! I used Annie Sloan charcoal paint for the top and hardware. Duck's Egg blue with a charcoal "wash" for the drawers and country grey for the background. I am so pleased with the result!
Ready to use.
Finished!

Started distressing
Thought a harlequin pattern would be fun. It turned out great, but was not alot of fun to do. Then I scored the pattern to distress it. "Ignore my flip flop."
I wanted the blue to be darker so I watered down the charcoal paint with water so i wiped it on and wiped it off.
Heavily distressed the whole piece. Painted the hardware with charcoal paint and sealed it with dark wax.
More detail.
Notice the scored pattern.
