Electrical problems in a gable roof

Our bath is located in a gable-roof addition on the front of our house. Two of the walls are outside walls. There is no attic space and the builder-installed vent does not exhaust to either an attic or to the outside. Is there a way to add a vent without a projecting roof vent? We are told that the gable roof is not scissor-trusses. We also would like to add recessed lighting, but how do we run wires?

If your roof are not trusses, I assume it's solid rafters, insulated, and drywall attached to the rafters. A vent would have to be installed on one of the outside walls. If the roof is solid rafters, there may not be enough room for recessed lighting. Easiest way to add lighting would be use track lighting. You may want to have an electrician give you options, also check with your building department what the codes are.

Haven't resolved it, but pretty sure we have very limited options. Always hope someone else has been there, done that and therefore we will have a solution. Thanks for help.
