Douglas Hunt on Jul 24, 2013It looks like Leucocoprinus birnbaumii, which is common where there is rich organic soil and temperatures are warm, as I'm sure yours are right now. It's not hurting your begonias one bit.Helpful Reply

Teresa C on Jul 25, 2013Dana, these begonias are in pots & I shear them off anytime they start looking bad. They seem to bounce back very well when I give them a buzz cut! :) I keep them in the greenhouse during the winter & bring them back out in the spring. I have kept some begonias outside in the ground during the winter, mulched very well. Some came back & some did not. I am in zone 7B. I'm sorry but I do not know how to advise you on growing begonias in central texas. Thanks.Helpful Reply
