Transformed an old changing table into a gorgeous statement piece Kitchen Island.
Started with a changing table that was originally purchased from Walmart in 2007 when my son was born. Unfortunately I forgot to take a before pic. I found this picture of the exact same changing table that was converted by Deanie Penick and posted on here which is what originally inspired my project.

The below link is the inspiration for my project:

Started with a changing table exactly like this that I had from when my son was born. It was purchased in 2007 from Walmart.
We removed the bottom 2 drawers and their hardware. Then on the top rail we cut the end pieces down so that they were level, and painted the entire thing Grey with "Purple Rain" accents inside the door and open area where the drawers used to be. Added 3 legs and a large thrift shop find table top.
Final step was adding the new drawer/door pulls, and our accessories.
Suggested materials:
  • 3 35" table legs   (http://www.lowes.com/pd/Waddell-Pine-End-Table-Leg-Actual-3-25-in-x-35-in/3041294)
