Soak the area around and under the roller as much as possible w/ goof off or goo be gone. You may have to repeat process a few times, but I know both products have saved me on different mishaps.
bigger hammer....once you bust it loose you may want to sand away the ridges of paint that will remain...then touch up the spot with some new paint.
So I'm sure everyone else has this same question in the backs of their minds....how did this roller happen to left there in the first place....and then why has it taken over a decade to "fix".
You can use a floor scraper tool, or a very stiff putty knife. Depending upon the type of paint it is, there are solvents made to soften the finish. Even a little paint stripper will work. Just be careful that little ones or critters do not step into this when its wet or it will burn their feet.

some time ago we repaired several parking deck floors in brooklyn w/urethane top coat,,, finished last deck late 1 nite & met w/owner's rep for his inspection next day,,, on the 2nd level down, we found a rat stuck ( for life as he was dead ) in the midst of the floor still in running profile,,, 5in1's are great tools !
Susan S you crack me up!!!!! I would try Krud Kutter first it takes paint off anything, you can get it almost everywhere. It will take the finish off what ever you have on the floor though. If that did not work, but it will, I would use a heat gun on LOW to soften up the paint and scrape it off. But I tell you Krud Kutter will do it. It even took dried hot pink fingernail polish out of the bedroom carpet and did not discolor it, can't even tell it happened.
@Mary O. - well after this lengthy conversation from everyone - you will let us know how it turns out, WON'T YOU??? Didn't mean to offend if I sounded a tad doubtful about the authenticity of your plight but we didn't hear anything more from you and it's been there for 11 years so . . . . .

Try using a heat gun or hair dryer set on high to soften the paint before using a suitable scraper or putty knife. Once the bulk of it's off then try some liquid solvents to lift off the rest. Sometimes hot soapy water and a wire brush will get the rest if it's latex.
