Heidi from Lily Field Furniture used Liquorice to give this leggy buffet a clean, classic look!
BEFORE:
Hello Friends! I’m thrilled to show you this before and after today! A sweet friend received this leggy buffet recently and asked me to update it for her.

I think these style of pieces are my favorite to refinish and I tend to love them in black! There is something about the square shape, dark wood that I personally think looks so sophisticated in black! For this particular piece we went with Liquorice for the color.
AFTER:
After lightly sanding down the whole piece with 220 grit paper I painted with 1 coat of Liquorice. I lightly distressing the detailing with a sanding sponge and then I used Top Coat for a protective finish.
What do you think? I love how the black brings out the details on the buffet and gives it a regal look!

Did the topcoat give it a smooth finish or did you sand it smooth? Is the paint acrylic? It looks shiny in the photo
