I have used plain old white cheap vinegar to get rid of growth between the asphalt of the street and the concrete curb. I also sprayed it on things that come up in my yard. It will kill sod, so I stopped using it on the sod. -
great idea. -
baking soda is good for everything. awesome! -
Going to have to try that. -
Interesting. How much baking soda do you use? -
Does this work? I don't understand the concept. Plants grow across a wide range of soil pH, including neutral. -
Tried the baking soda..It did not work for me..My weeds loved it and got bigger and healthier...Bummer! -
Good old table salt works - use plenty of it on a dry surface, then lightly water it in. Kills vegitation for up to a year. Also gets rid of soft membrain pests. (worms/Slugs) -
Would baking soda help remove the greenish growth on a shady, wet area of our flagstone path? It's getting so bad that I'm starting to slip when I walk on it. -
Melissa, salt or vinegar (or both) should work for that slick mossy stuff. -
Thanks!
