bathroom wall

What would you do for the walls paint? or pull off the backing and do something like that? This is so ugly.

wall backing I guess that's what it is called need updating

least expensive would be to prime and paint .. that is bathroom wall board. if you are a DIY .. you would have a much bigger job removing it, along with the wall paper because of the (unknown) amount of patch work behind
