How to Clean Makeup Brushes

Angela
by Angela
when was the last time you cleaned your make up brush? If you're like me, probably never. However, makeup brushes need to be cleaned every 1-2 weeks; once a month if you're pushing it. Cleaning makeup brushes is easy and free.
Check out the blog for the full tutorial and additional tips.
Small drop of mild soap, shampoo or your favorite brush cleaner.
Wet the brush.
Lather, rinse repeat until water runs clear.
Lay flat to dry.

Shampoo has worked well for me in cleaning LOTS of things and also makes the brushes smell GREAT! I'be always been a 'calendar gurl' and the 1st of the month I do ALL those jobs that often get lost in the shuffle of everyday life...clean/AC filter/vents, change batteries in things, wash the shower curtains in my washer with towels, and my make-up brushes AND hair brushes, too. It just makes MY life a bit easier and if one thing gets skipped this month, I'll get it the next montn.

I use baby shampoo to clean my brushes. Instead of laying them flat, I use clothespins to clip them upside-down to a hanger to dry. Why not let gravity help with the drying process? :)
