Maybe window boxes or a grouping of 3 (various sizes same color as the shutters )large pots behind the the bench to so it doesn't appear to be stuck in the middle of the patio?

I might even add a bird bath to the open area of the bed to the left or maybe even angle the bench left and put some kind of planting focal point staggered from the actual porch through that bed on the right of various pots like Four Seasons said.

I would turn the bench so the back is against the bed on the left, so its more facing the front door, add another planter to the other end of the bench.

I think a shepard hook with some hanging plants would be nice....Also some fun planters would be great...I have a pair of rubber rain boots with plants and they are really cute on my porch...

Turning the bench, I didn't think of that! -- I am going to go play! Thank you. Love the pillows idea and a good book is always around! Pots the same color as the shutters -- brilliant! Thanks!

I love the window box idea. More flowers or potted greenery is always a plus.

How about a couple of Boston ferns. They have a soft look, easy to maintain and would look nice hanging from shepherds hooks. I think softening up the hard lines of the windows with ferns would give you a cohesive look with the softer lines of the stone and the bench. Nice cozy area for relaxing.

I agree with angling the bench slightly toward the front door, add a couple of pretty pillows, a good book and a place to prop your feet. Aaah!

I am sure whatever you add will be perfect. This is a great example of how a space does not have to be hugh to make an impact or provide a great nook to relax! Great job!

Maybe a small table to match the bench and I like the window box idea or a large planter with a tree. Everyone has great suggestions!

I think a line of small flowering plants like petunias would look nice along the edge of the flagstone (in the mulch).

Jann R, I thought your front porch was very pretty & then saw all of the ideas presented here that can make it so much nicer. Hometalk folks are great with ideas/enhancements.
