get a bebe gun and ping them :-)

A motion detector sprinkler might annoy them away. How are they getting into the tree. You might prune away from power lines and rooflines and such to keep them from hopping into the tree, and put a tree collar on to keep them from climbing.

Otherwise you'll have to trap them, with a snap trap or a live trap. If you choose the latter route, make sure you release them well away.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!! Why not feed them with bird seed, watch them and enjoy them, and if they are full, they'll stay away from the cherries??? Maybe?
