Wrought Iron thrift store find! What to do...What to do?

Just got these wrought iron pieces at Goodwill for $1.99 each😃.  Would like to hear opinions as to what to do with them....❓

I could see putting some plexiglass over them and making tops for end tables.  For the bottoms, depends upon the decor and where you might use them.  Maybe a rustic wood box? Maybe iron plant stands that match?  Some small nightstands with drawers?  Or one large peice of plexi glass for a dinning table?

Since you have a pair I would loop some ribbon, rope, leather belts, what ever went with your design style and use them as drapery tiebacks.

I just used one over the chandy in my dining room, mounted at the ceiling...and the outcome was spectacular!  Then you have one left for a wall somewhere.

I have several sizes and shapes,Ive painted some,left some original.I use them as garden art.hanging on house in patio areas and on fences.MIne are in antique white (most) yard is chabby chic decor.

You haven't said how large they are, Mary, unless I'm missing something on my iPad.  However,   I have two similar ones that I painted black with cheap craft paint and mounted them on a narrow wall in a vertical fashion - one on top of the other.   I also was going to use them in a wall grouping but liked them better on a narrow strip of wall that's between two bedrooms.    Any prints or paintings I had were just too large but my iron pieces  fit the space perfectly.

I had two large square pieces (36x36). I painted white and used behind the bed as a 'headboard'. My bed didn't have a headboard, so I just attched them to the wall. They look GREAT!

thatswhat  im talking about! I have 4 wrought iron patio tbls with all chairs,2 are very old bistros.I love them,all yard sale finds !...one old bistro at antique shop (that one i paid 120.00 for) all other 3 sets spent 125.00 total ! little spray paint,brand new!they'll last  a  lifetime.

Cut out a hole in 2 of your center top cabinet doors and place them in the middle of them.   You can buy opaque glass or buy a 'tinted' glass roll already and apply it in the back of your two beautiful iron pieces.  The result is amazing!!!  This I know;  as I did it in my own kitchen!!!

I would paint them with a crackle finish then hang as art or you could  frame them
To frame them  get pieces of plywood  that is  12 inches  + the width of the piece and 12 inches  +height of the piece. Cover the plywood with clothe that makes the painted   wrought iron pieces  POP.  Frame. Hang.

I didn't noticed until today when I had my reading glass on....the paint is black but has tiny specks of gold.   I'd hate to paint over it ... and actually, the paint overall looks good.   How should I clean it?

I recently put a similar piece on my dining room ceiling, where our chandelier is. We cut out the center so the wires would run through the center...the result was amazing ! Then hang the other on a wall...

After I filled up my dining wall with collected trivets I started hanging wrought iron pieces outside on trellises and fences. The blank wall is next if I can work out how to hang them with adding nails holes in the vinyl siding.

The design is beautiful I agree with making them into wall art. I don't agree with using Dawn to clean them. Try just using water and a gentle brush. If that doesn't work then go for the chemicals.
