Morning Glory Madness: Trellises

30 Minutes
Easy
It's so hard to throw something out that may someday be of some use...so I held on to five plastic picture frames from the dollar store, knowing they'd never be used as frames. They did turn out to be ideal for making a trellis with just the addition of a bamboo stake, E6000 glue, and some dollar store twine. Since I had everything on hand, this project cost me absolutely nothing (my favorite kind).
What else, I asked myself, could I use for trellises or plant stakes? How about golf clubs--they're only 50-cents each and way more durable than metal plant stakes. You can also see in the pictures that I use reflective driveway stakes--I have no limits!
Let's see if this will work... Picture frames + glue + twine= trellis. Maybe...
Look closely and you can see that after only two days, the vines have begun their climb.
What the heck is holding up those vines?
I'll be darned...golf clubs!
That's right...golf clubs and reflective driveway stakes.
Remember the drying rack screwed to the side of the house three weeks ago? Look at it now!

great idea and it got my creative juices going. How about putting a frame on a stick and putting it in front of a beautiful flowering plant to "frame" it. :-)
