Bathroom Tiling

Pink Is Evil. (according to my husband)

My husband lived a pink night mare in the master bathroom for 20 years and didn't know what to do with it. Pink tub, pink stool, pink sink, pink tile on the floor and halfway up the walls. All he managed to come up with is to cover the floor with a charcoal gray carpet.

........until I arrived and changed this pink girly dream of a bathroom into something a MAN likes to live with.

Carla, you are a talented human dynamo! This bathroom is so-o-o much fun! You should find a coffee table book on Egypt to keep by the soaking tub. Unbelievable work!!

A lot of work and creativity. I just love to create things. Get ideas, look at what is before me and keep looking until I have the finished picture in my mind and then I start working, often non stop until I see the idea finished in front of me. Sometimes I stick with such a project for 12 to 14 hours a day. Seems like I am afraid to interrupt to thought flow. Sometimes that changes the next day and then I feel "out of it".

Especially men that lived alone for 40 years and don't know a thing about relationships and the required adjustments.

I been told that back in the 70th pink tiles were the cheapest tiles around. Maybe that's why we see them so often in older bathrooms?

Thanks Jeanette and Rachel. Boy Rachel, you have a lot of work in front of you. Can't wait to see the finished result. Glad I found someone that agrees with my hubby and I that "pink' can be a nightmare.

I been told that back in the 70th pink tile was the cheapest to buy. Something about pink. I can't imagine that because everything from paint to tile is more expensive our days because it ...»

contains red. Buy oil paint of acrylics to paint on canvas, you'll find that all the red colors are more expensive too

Well when the the previous owners of my house bought it, there was no bathroom...just an outhouse. Well They painted the bathroom pink & white. I'm assuming women back in the 50s associated pink with femininity. Well my bathroom now is the size of a closet (not a very big one either lol). I'm trying to simplify it and make it a better color.

You mean the outhouse was painted pink and white? Wow, lol ... how strange. Pink ... grrrrrrrrrrr, our master bedroom had a pink carpet in it too and pink curtains and it's a huge 20x20 room. Phil put in a hunter's green carpet .... at least that softened the place. Only problem is now that the dark green shows every piece of lint etc. It drives me crazy.
