Whole Wheatgrass Table!

Wheatgrass is so fast growing and so pretty. It only takes a few days to get magazine quality plants! It looks so chic growing in almost anything. Must be why they use it in interior design spreads. Expanded, it makes an impressive statement piece! Here's a whole table!

I cut this old plywood to the shape of the tabletop.
Stapled some burlap 'ribbon' around it.
The ends overlapped and were paper clipped together.
This is the tabletop filled with potting soil and a little chicken manure, then covered with Hard Red Winter Wheat.
It will be too wet to grow on the blue table, so it's on the greenhouse bench. Has to be level. Covered in vermiculite. Trays to keep birds off.

The blue table was the base for the "Table covered in wheatgrass." The plywood was cut to the same shape so the entire table would be growing wheatgrass. Did you see the story about the NY designer that had a wheatgrass table for her wedding cake to sit on? I grew that for her.
