Flower Arranging Tips

Easy
Over 6 years ago I started studying Japanese flowering arranging (Ikebana), specifically Sogetsu style in Ottawa and later Ohara style for one year while Alex and I lived in Japan. Although I typically don’t make Japanese style flower arrangements at home anymore, I do still use some of the tips I was given and I thought to share with you to how to get more flower arrangements our of one bouquet of flowers.

I have always felt a great fondness for Japanese Art and all things Japanese. When I bought a furnished condo on the enchanting Island of Puerto Rico I was overjoyed that there were many objects and pieces of Japanese design. I've considered taking a course in Japanese painting. I feel I will do so now. This has inspired me, thank you for sharing your wonderful and very artistic arrangements. ES

Stephanie, I love these simple, elegant pieces. Hometalk asked me to curate a board on Easy Flower Arranging and I included your lovely suggestions.
